Welcome in Kanbula Hotel
Kanbula Hotel is a family run hotel nestled in the town of Jianzha along the clear blue Yellow River. We have owned the hotel for 3 years and enjoy serving foreign guests. Two of our staff, Donjep and Sally (Ayong Jen) have a good grasp of English. Donjep and Sally both have English to Chinese and Chinese to English dictionaries for more difficult words. They have several years experience communicating in English and are available to translate for the other members of the staff.
We also have a home in a village along the Yellow River, 8 kms upstream from Jianzha. We are pleased to offer this as a Tibetan home stay experience. It is 15 minutes by vehicle to the village. Details upon request.
We are very concerned about the environment, so our hot water is made by solar panels. It is on from 7pm until to 9am.
To ensure the guests have a restful sleep, the main doors close at 11:40 pm.
A special feature of the hotel is the pictures of Tibetan people by a local artist on the walls of the rooms and in the hallways.
Our cooks are trained in the preparation of Sichuan and Qinghai dishes. They also feature local Tibetan food.
